| I have read several post on here and tried everything I could find. I still cannot get my tsu9400 to connect to wireless router. I have a Belken b,g, &n newer router. I tries the WEP 128 and static IP's.. just says connecting. any thoughts |

| You don't have everything set up correctly, on the remote or on your router. |

I would try with encryption (at least temporarily) disabled on both the access point and the pronto. It removes one (quite big) variable.

Also don't forget that the Pronto encryption key field in PEP2 is somewhat 'pooched'! The Pronto does not do a proper job converting from ASCII to HEX: Thus 'Senior Pronto' will refuse to connect or get kicked out of the club every time it makes a pass at your router!
If this is the problem: Don't turn off encryption permanently unless you want a long term relationship with a hacker. Copy the encryption key hex string from your router and paste it into your config. I had a similar problem and that solved it.
And if that isn't enough: There are rumours that the Pronto uses a G class wireless protocol.... If you've got an N class router you have a problem.
And on top of that: If you are trying to use WPA encryption on your router; Pronto doesn't do WPA only WEP. |

| Thanks for the replies guys. I do have all the setting entered into PEP2 for my router, I have the encrytions off. My router is broadcasting b,g and n mode. Last time I messed with it it was not connected. I just got it off the charger and now it is connected. I guess it just took a while. |

Although your router supports b/g/n, what is it currently using. Some routers allow you to enable 'booster' or performance enhancing options that can pooch a Wifi signal to some devices. Others will allow you to set it to a specific revision of the protocol (ie: n class devices only)
If your router config is set to only use 802.11n; from what I have read, the Pronto is not going to have a good day as it will only work with b/g routers.
Also there is a firmware update out for the TSU9400 that addresses a wifi connectivity issue when coming out of sleep mode. If your interested in this one, I believe it's in the file download area.... If not you'll need to jump on the Philips site. |
