On a new FPT5884 plasma, the HDMI 1 input from the RTI database goes right to that input. If pressed again, or if the macro runs again when it is already on that input, it goes to the tuner. From any other input, bingo it hits HDMI 1. Repeat it and to tuner it goes. Any possible explanation?

Which file in the database?

If you post the specific code I will do a comparison with what I have in my excel sheet documentation of the clean codes to see what may be going on.

That's interesting because I have the same TV and I didn't notice this? I want to find a way to get to source-tuner and have not found a way. Maybe a macro of just repeating an input twice. If what you say is right than my macro's will screw up, maybe. If I set a macro to power-on, source-HDMI-1, pre/pro on and etc. it could if the set is already on HDMI 1 end up on the tuner.

I need to get the descreet code for source-tuner, anyone seen this?

Just a thought about your problem. If you have an input that does not get used maybe you could include that in your macro. I.e. if you don't use PC than you could macro to PC followed by the input of your choice and since the TV will never be on PC than it would always work. Same thing could be used if you wanted the tuner. With a macro you'd use the PC code twice and no matter where you are you'd end up on tuner.

On the other hand I hope this doesn't work with my TV because I sold this to the family saying it would be easy to just press one button and the entire system would be ready, put in a disk into the open tray and press play, easy. Two buttons and you're watching a movie. If they press that button and end up with sponge bob on the tuner I'm in deep do-do.

I experimented with my TV and the only input that toggles the tuner is HDMI 1. I seem to have a second HDMI 1 code also and that doesn't change from HDMI 1 to tuner. None of the other source codes go to tuner no matter how many times you press.

I have codes in my IR Data file for the descrete codes for the TV but I have no idea how to share them and I have no idea how to use the codes posted on this site. This is all new to me. The file number 464 on the URC Data base is what I used and it must be new because it's the last file of the data base and I just downloaded the newest database to get it. I also read that our TV has had a firmware upgrade and the codes were changed or codes were added, not sure.

BTW, I have buttons for all three HDMI input buttons, PC and every other source but I didn't download them to the remote and try them since I only use one of the three HDMI inputs on the TV. Maybe I'll give it a try and see what happens.

I'd really love to find an IR code for the tuner.

Did you try the discrete codes from the list documenting NECx2 device7.7 codes from earlier in this thread or from the thread below?:
http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bi...s=1852&highlight=Xpost

The function numbers are...

233 HDMI1
190 HDMI2
194 HDMI3

There is also an HDMI toggle command

I need discrete codes for my new Samsung 32 inc Lcd. I'm looking for ant1 and mute.
It's an Lns3215 I believe, and how do convert hex to usable code, using an mx-350.

Thanks,

G'day, I have a Samsung PS58P91FDX, none of the HDMI discrete codes are working for me, in the pronto database for the Samsung Flat TV single HDMI it has hdmi, HDMI1, HDMI2. hdmi works for HDMI 1 but none of the others work. All other functions from the database work for my panel. I have added a few code which didnt appear they all seem to end in 0707.
How do you see the actual code in the pronto database? all the codes just say "Database Code"
Thankyou

If the link does not work this time, do a search in the RTI forum (older than 6 months) for Xpost.

http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bi...s=1852&highlight=Xpost

There are two code sets used by Samsung... NEC2 and NECx2. They are very similar but some sets only respond to one or the other. Jason posted NECx2 codes later in the SAMSUNG thread as did I in the Xpost thread. See if one of the sets works for you.

They do not work, all the codes I have learnt end in 0707 so I guess the discrete will also end in 0707.

0707 has nothing to do with it. That is a result of variation in your particular learn.

The cleanly generated codes will look a bit different.

Here is what I have. If they do not work you are likely SOL.

???... If you alter the library it will not automatically update your remote or file... the initial code(s) are in the file once you place it on a button until you either drag on a new code or use the IR search and replace feature.

These are the same codes from the same posts I was pointing you to before.
