To learn infrared signals: Hold the [LEARN] button for three seconds. The remote beeps twice and you will be asked to press 4 number buttons. After, the remote will beep five times. Select the component you would like to learn on, then select the button you would like to learn on. The remote will automatically step through all buttons in sequence. When you are finished, press [LEARN].

To record a macro: Hold the [MACRO] button for three seconds. The remote beeps twice and you will be asked to press 4 number buttons. After, the remote will beep five times. Select the component you would like to add the macro to. The "LEARN" symbol will blink. Press the button you would like to record the macro on. The remote beeps three times and "LEARN" shows steady. You may now navigate the remote and select buttons in order. To add a delay between steps, press [MACRO] to rotate through 2, 5 10 and 0.5 (blank) second settings. When you are finished, press [LEARN].

To remove a learned signal or macro: Hold the [DELETE] button for three seconds. The remote beeps twice and you will be asked to press 4 number buttons. After, the remote will beep five times. Select the component you would like to remove a function from, then select the button. The button is cleared. You may continue deleting buttons, or press [LEARN] to end. If you would like to remove the button from display you must do so in a separate process.

To remove all learned signals or macros from a device: Hold the [DELETE] button for three seconds. The remote beeps twice and you will be asked to press 4 number buttons. After, the remote will beep five times. Press [DELETE] again. "Blank" will display. Next select the component to clear. The remote beeps twice and the component is reset. You may continue deleting components, or press [LEARN] to end.

To reset all learned signals and macros from the remote: Hold the [DELETE] button for three seconds. The remote beeps twice and you will be asked to press 4 number buttons. After, the remote will beep five times. Hold [DELETE] for three seconds. The remote will beep six times. All components have been reset.

To customize button labels or remove buttons from view: Hold the component button you would like to customize for three seconds. The remote beeps twice and you will be asked to press 4 number buttons. After, the remote will beep five times. Press the flashing screen once. Now, each time you press a button you will rotate through the possible label combinations, including outline only and removed from view. When finished, press the same component button again.

To change the layout for AUX: Hold [AUX] for three seconds. The remote beeps twice and you will be asked to press 4 number buttons. After, the remote will beep five times. As the screen flashes, press the component you would like to copy the layout from. Then, press [AUX] to save.

To recall the original button layout: Hold [TV] and [DVD] for three seconds. The remote beeps twice and you will be asked to press 4 number buttons. After, the remote will beep eight times. The original layout is restored. No commands or macros are removed.

To enable or disable the beep tone: Press the currently selected component button again. The sound symbol located at the top right-hand corner of the screen is either displayed or removed, depending on which mode you are in.

To adjust the backlighting timeout delay: Hold [AMP] and [AUX] for three seconds. The remote beeps twice and you will be asked to press 4 number buttons. After, the remote will beep five times. Select [1] for a 10 second timeout, [2] for 20 seconds, or [3] for 30 seconds. Press [AMP] to save.

To adjust the light sensor sensitivity: Hold [AMP] and [AUX] for three seconds. The remote beeps twice and you will be asked to press 4 number buttons. After, the remote will beep five times. Press [POWER] once. Select a number between [1] and [10], with [1] being the most sensitive. Press [POWER] to save.

What does the [TRANS] button do? [TRANS] is only used for dealers and other installers to copy the settings of one UCommand to another with the optional serial cable.
